Success is often specific to an individual. There are some common guides when it comes to measuring success, like profitability, customer and employee satisfaction and even owner satisfaction, but the definition of satisfaction can vary from one business to another. For businesses that are drastically different, it makes sense that the way they achieve and measure success would be different as well. When Tim English, my brother and our VP at Superior Business Solutions, decided to write a blog post on achieving success in business, he realized that you – the readers – probably have just as much to contribute to this post as he does, so he is conducting an experiment to round up your tips, tricks and ideas for business success.
You Know Your Business
When it comes to managing your business you are the expert. You know what efforts have paid off, what factors caused endeavors to fail and what milestones you need to hit in order to keep moving forward. Whether you are just starting out or you are a seasoned pro, whether you run a small business with a few employees or a large operation that employs thousands, you are there day in and day out and you know how to take care of business.
There is certainly value in hearing what others have to say on how to be successful, but these tips are put through the filter of their experiences. You can learn from the experience and advice of others, even if they are in a completely different field you can still extrapolate usefulness and worth from their guidance, but you already have a good idea on what you need to do in order to make your business prosper.
Share Your Knowledge
In a recent blog post , Tim called for your stories and suggestions on the topic of business success. Anything and everything you can think of whether it is minor day-to-day tasks or high level, big picture stuff get in touch and share your expertise. Share the good and feel free to share the bad, too. In the coming weeks Tim will collect and review each and every tidbit and use these insights to write a blog post to be shared on the Superior Business Solutions site. Head over to check out the post and leave a comment to share your knowledge because it may be just the thing to help another business owner get to the next level.
Thanks for stopping by and make it a successful week!
