Do Eco-Friendly Promotional Products Matter to U.S. Consumers?
In a recent post for our daughter brand, Factory Direct Promos (FDP), Shane Shirley, CMO, dove into the relevance of eco-friendly promotional products. Do people really care if your customized takeaway is eco-friendly? Studies show that the answer to that question is yes, people do care. Every aspect of a branded product represents your brand. The item is so much more than the information printed on it. The eco-friendly qualities of a promotional product will shape people’s opinions and thoughts of your brand. Here’s how.
Data Explains How People Feel
The FDP post is built around a recent ASI Impressions study. This report has a lot of great data about how people feel about reusable promotional products. It also delves into how people feel about eco-friendly promotional products and brands that use such products for marketing purposes. About half of the people surveyed reported having a favorable opinion of brands that utilize eco-friendly promotional items. More than half of those under 34 years of age reported that they would likely support a company that prioritizes the eco qualities of their promotional products. These numbers definitely give insight into how people feel about eco-friendly promotional products.
How Do You Put Eco-Friendly Products to Work for Your Company?
When choosing eco-friendly promotional products, consider what will appeal to your customers. An effective promotional product will fill a need and be something your customers want or need to use. Reusable products, like grocery bags or travel mugs, are eco-friendly because they diminish the need for single-use products, like plastic grocery bags and Styrofoam coffee cups. Also look at the material used to construct your eco-friendly promotional product. If your promotional item is made from recycled or sustainable materials it will reduce your brand’s carbon footprint.
Eco-friendly promotional products have a positive impact on the planet and they help your customers form a positive opinion about and establish a relationship with your brand.
